Professional Development Scholarship
The St. Louis Chapter Professional Development Scholarship provides financial assistance to ASSE St. Louis Chapter members who wish to advance their education through the completion of certifications. Please see attached Application Form below.
Scholarships will be available to qualified applicants who wish to apply for funding. The award will only be for 50% of the application and exam fees and for an amount not to exceed $250.00 per award. The number of Scholarships will be based on available funds approved by the Executive Committee.
Scholarships will be awarded for the following application and exams fees:

Board of Certified Safety Professionals - ASP or CSP

Council on Certification of Health Environmental and Safety Technologist - OHST, CHST, and STS

American Society of Safety Engineers – Executive Program in Safety Management and Certificate in Safety Management
All Applications will be reviewed by the St. Louis Chapter Scholarship Chairperson and presented to the ASSE St. Louis Chapter Executive Committee who will act as an adhoc Award & Selection Committee.
Award recipients will be notified by mail and their names listed in the ASSE St. Louis Chapter Newsletter.
Rules for Professional Development Scholarship:
- You must be a member of the St. Louis Chapter for one year to be eligible for the scholarship.
- Certification applications and exams must be for the award period starting on April 1st and ending March 31st of the award year.
- Scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants on a first come, first serve basis.
- The scholarship application deadline is postmarked on or before February 28th prior to the award year.
- Incomplete scholarship applications will be disqualified. Applications submitted after the February 28th deadline will receive awards based on available funds approved by the Executive Committee.
- Only one award per certification application or exam.
- To obtain reimbursement an original receipt for the certification application and exam fee must be mailed to Rob Miller, Scholarship Chairman, before the end of the award year.
